It's been said that home is where the heart is.
However some might argue that one's home
is the heart of the matter. Thus by it's nature
one's abode is if nothing else a very personal
affair. A physical manifestation of it's owners
life, interests, and passions. Self-expression
can just as easily become self-consumed. No
wonder HGTV's "Hoarders" show recently
launched it's tenth season. Proof that not only
can one have too much of a good thing... but
it's quite feasible that one can be overwhelmed

Keeping one's things in their proper place may
in theory be appealing. Yet few if any want to
live in a tabula rasa. While any professionally
decorated environment is certain to be chic -
it will say little about those who live within
unless they put their stamp upon it. Much like
any fashion statement, a classic can be rather
boring sans the addition of carefully curated
accessories. Which is why the accoutrements

Hence "to each their own" is a perfect mantra
